We continuously look for ways to improve our efficiency through waste reduction and environmental-control systems.

Environmental Scope

The scope of the Environmental Management System involves the management of environmental aspects related to the finishing of upholstery, automotive, apparel and shoe leather at the Pearl Leather Finishers facilility located at 11-21 Industrial Park, Johnstown, NY 12095.

Pearl Leather Finishers, Inc. (PLF) interested parties are managed and communicated through documents including, but not limited to Legal and Other Requirements (E-OP-32-50), Environmental Aspects Evaluation Chart (E-OP-31-50) and an annual Compliance Calender. Our predetermined annual requirements including deadlines are monitored and reported accordingly. External communication with interested parties is logged (E-OP-43-50).

PLF environmental management team consists of the President and immediate staff members. The Environmental Representative works directly with the environmental management team to meet the needs of all relevant interested parties and their associated activities. The Environmental Representative prepares and submits all necessary reports, permits, applications and scheduled documentation for review and signatures if required. By utilizing the above information, PLF maintains an ongoing relationship with all interested parties and is able to work together to maintain a viable environmental program.
